Fujifilm has just announced that the brand new Fujinon GF30mm F3.5 will start shipping on July 22.
BHphoto & Co have therefore updated their pages, and mark it as available on July 23.
It’s curious, that Fujifilm does not seem to push this lens all too much. In fact, they seem to have more quiet approach when promoting this lens. A pity, from all I could see, it is a fantastic lens. And it’s 16mm APS-C equivalent, which is a very popular focal length.
The Fuji Guys posted an unboxing and a few samples, but they could have showed a bit more love for this lens, by giving it a proper full overview. Anyway, here is what they say:
- 24mm in full frame (16mm in APS-C)
- weather sealed
- sample images
- a bit too wide for Francis taste, but gives interesting perspective
- end
There is also not much independent reviews. Here is some:
- bjornmoerman – First Look Review – Fujifilm GF 45-100 f4
- kaarebak – The last of the triplets
And some Promo material:
- fujifilm-x – My Sophisticated Weapon -GF30mm
- fujifilm-x – GF30mmF3.5 with Luca Locatelli
The 16mm focal length is one of the best sellers in the APS-C world. Let’s see if the GF30mm can duplicate that success.
