Hero Workshops: Perpetual Embrace. Back Beach, New Plymouth, New Zealand. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow. One of the last sunsets of 2016 was hugging the horizon when I made the best of the inevitable. Burying my tripod in the sand against the ebb and flow of the incoming tide I soon found myself pretty drenched. At least the water up north is warmer than in Christchurch :). Shot using a 6-stop Nisi ND filter to show motion in the surf, and a 3-stop soft grad to bring down the top-right corner. My waterproof Sirui W2204 was a huge help as well.
