The Verge declares X-T10 Best Mirrorless for under $1,000 + No other brand is so seriously committed to mirrorless as Fuji!

The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II? Nope! The Sony A6000? Wrong! … It’s the Fujifilm X-T10!

The Verge just declared the Fuji X-T10 the Best Mirrorless Camera you can buy for under $1,000” They say they “really like the X-T10 for its combination of features, performance, and design […] it offers the all around best package“!

But the X-T1o get lots of love not only from The Verge.  Also dpreview loves the X-T10 more than the Sony A6000, the Nikon D5500 or the O-MD E-M10:

“The A6000, the D5500 and the O-MD E-M10 might seem more appealing or capable. […] But from my experience having shot with all of these cameras, the X-T10 is hands down the most pleasurable of the bunch to use. Fujifilm makes cameras for people who love cameras, not specs“

One more? Comparing the EOS M3 with the Fuji X-T10, even hardcore Canon shooter Steve from CanonWatch said:

“Someone looking for her first mirrorless camera may be better advised to have a look on the similar priced Fuji X-T10, if the 24MP of the EOS M3 are not a game-changer (the X-T10 has 16MP). I think no other brand is so seriously committed to mirrorless as Fuji. And they make great gear with all the features you may want on a mirrorless camera. Not to mention the lenses.”

Well, I guess I was right, when I recently called the X-T10 the most underestimated camera ever.

  1. If it’s claimed to be the best overall camera by those websites, I just wonder how the beginner/amateur photographer feels about this camera, I mean for someone that do the photography just for hobby or having fun and usually just using the cheap P&S camera. Anyone wants to share the experience? I’m curious since I don’t have any Fuji currently

    1. it comes from a Canon Shooter… for sure he’s not a Fuji fanboy and maybe he really thinks that the best mirrorless offer at the moment comes from Fuji and he likes what Fuji did in just 4 years starting from zero

      1. There’s still a difference between having the best offering (which the XT10 < $1000 might even be) and being the most committed.
What is that even supposed to mean? It's not like Olympus, Panasonic or Sony aren't 100% committed as well…

        1. I guess it refers to the dedication and effort Fuji put into the system.

3 years and 9 months ago, Fuji did not even had a MILC camera on the market… and now, 3 years and 9 months later, it’s one of the most complete MILC systems you can get.

This is… well… committment… don’t know if any other brand was able to do so much in such a short time

  2. I bought an X-E1 and I like the analog-like layout. It helps to understand how photography works. Small size is nice too and image quality is gorgeous for the size and the price I paid it with 18-55.

What I don’t like is slow autofocus especially when tracking. I’d also like an all-auto switch like on the X-T10 when I need somebody else to take the photo, auto-scene recognition and face-detection. In fact, this camera doesn’t forgive your mistake and isn’t a good choice for P&S experience. Also, EVF in the corner is hard to use in sunny days especially because I’m left-eyed.

    I like it but I the X-T10 / X-T1 seems to improve what I don’t like on X-E1.
Maybe X-T1 / T10 sure can replace P&S cameras, but I don’t know why anybody would want to pay more, carry more bulk and switch lenses to use thise cameras in auto-mode.

  3. …and? What does that mean? Who cares what the Verge writes. Patrick stop looking for validation to shoot a Fuji. In the last 3 weeks you wrote 3 articels outing yourself as a fuji fanboy.

“Well, I guess I was right, when I recently called the X-T10 the most underestimated camera ever.” As I said…looking for validation. There is no right or wrong.

    1. I care what the Verge writes. They’re pretty influential and have a gazillion readers. If this helps Fuji and gets more people to try out the system, the better it is for other Fuji users. It’s nice that the camera is getting good coverage.

    2. yep… I just talked positive about fuji in these 3 weeks… or not?: http://www.fujirumors.com/my-main-2-complaints-about-the-fuji-x-t1/

And in this case it’s not me to be a fanboy… it’s TheVerge and CW… go to them and tell them that you don’t care what they say. I just report others opinion. If TheVerge would have said the X-T10 is crap, now that would have landet right into the headline of FR (just like Ken Rockwells negative comment on the X-T10 landet on the headline)

and yes, who cares about what verge writes… and who cares about DxO scores, and who cares about viewing images at 100% magnification, and who cares about any review out there… just go out and have fun shooting

  4. “No other brand is so seriously committed to Mirrorless as Fujifilm”. Eh? Look I love Fujifilm…I’m very happy they are in the market…. They make beautiful cameras….and people will have to pry my X100s out of my hands with a crowbar when I die… sometime I just hold it to feel it in my hands … But how are Fujifilm more seriously committed to Mirrorless than Panasonic, Olympus… and yes Sony?
