  1. i had been waiting for the next rebates but went ahead and bought the 18mm a short time ago because i couldn’t wait any longer. i see this and felt hosed till i saw the price after the rebates. i actually bought mine (from Asia) for almost half the price lower with an international warranty. too bad the seller doesn’t have the 90mm, yet.

      1. check out DWI International on eBay. i don’t mind buying lenses from Asia as long as a warranty is offered. i won’t bother with bodies unless i ever went back to Sony, mainly because Sony offers both NTSC & PAL while every other Manufacturer only offer either or (and i prefer NTSC for the 60p over 50p).

DWI International also have the Oly 12MM and Pany/Leica 15mm for much cheaper as well which are the next two lenses i’ve been wanting for my M43 system. those will be ordered next.

shipping was extremely fast. faster than the usual waiting-for-weeks-from Asia. i got my item faster than i usually get my items from from the usual sources (B&H, Adorama, Amazon) via the standard delivery (but otherwise as fast as the 2-day shipping). basically…

        Sat: ordered
        Sun: shipped
        Mon: reached states
        Tue: doorstep

      1. They’re amazing that way. I bought a 16/1.4 last Monday, prior to the rebate. I wrote customer service and asked if they’d honor the rebate, and they refunded $150 to my card.

        1. it’s actually less work for them to do it that way than if you were to return the item (if within the return period). if you had yours delivered, you have 30 days to return it. a week if you purchased within the store.

      1. Thanks, my mistake as I missed the date in the announcement. I’m wondering if it’s worthwhile to hold on to an xpro1 that’s new in the box for long term value or if that’s just going to go the way of the Nikon dx2: from thousands of $ to pennies on the dollar.

  2. It is great to have deals on lenses, but I am hoping to hear some announcement for an X-series camera with higher resolution and greater dynamic range. I am waiting to see what Fuji has up its sleeve before I make a decision on more camera gear.

My X-Pro 1 is still very good, but they need a new, improved sensor. I would even like a specialty camera with a DP Merrill sensor and Fuji colours, as I have both and would like DP Merrill resolution and micro contrast, but with Fuji colours.

  3. I’m quite tired to see so many exclusively US deal posts. We are from Europe (for instance UK) as well! Mind us!

      1. That’s why I love Fujifilm and Fujirumors. Fuji-minded people LISTEN. Dankeschön Patrick! 😉

  4. these “rebates” are great for when you want to buy a new lens but they sure wreak havoc on the secondary market. One of the nice things about Leica glass is that you could pretty much count on new prices always going up and used prices standing their ground. I kind of wish Fuji would lock in somewhere although again, buying a new lens like the 27 is a great deal right now. My local dealer won’t be able to move the one he has at $225 when new is $249.

  5. Sorry but I am confused about these deals. These prices are the exact same prices I have seen from amazon and BHPhoto for the past 60 days or so. Was there a price increase in the last month that I missed?
