Now these half quarter cases don’t even cover the front anymore. 🙁
I think we should start calling them camerakinis or casekinis.
Yeah, I don’t get these standalone half/quarter cases. I thought the point of the leather case is that they still offer some protection when the camera is in use, and that when not in use, you can snap on an accompanying leather cover for decent, compact protection.
The old style. I have one of these Gariz for XT1 and it’s a nice walk around case. After use I have a big soft pouch for the body and whatever lens attached, which is sufficient since cameras stay in dry boxes then.
They made sense when we didn’t have large screens and controls on the back. My memory of all my Dad’s cameras is them sitting snugly in nicely fitted cases.
