So much super deals in usa, and nothing special in europe 🙁
Does mirrorless cam sells bad in usa?
I think mirrorless sales in the US are poor. I rarely see one anywhere, even in popular tourist places. Canon Rebel and the equivalent Nikon are the overwhelming choice of amateurs and casual family snap shooters. Pentax? Leica? I have not seen one in years. Even the Sony DSRs seem to be rare. Maybe it is different in New York or San Francisco, but not in the heartland.
I live in SF. Mirror less is pretty rare.
people think my Em-5 and my GF-1 are cute. Not sure its the response that I would expect
This is killing me. These prices are so low! If I lived in the US I’d probably have a whole room full of cameras! But I have to just look on with envy from this side of the Atlantic 🙁
I have the same feelins here in sud-america….. an epl1 is us$600 the g3 is us$950….
If we had that price in the UK I’d have picked up two just for my camera bag!
They are good deals, but the truth of the matter is the sensor in the G5 is really a step up from the GX1, in fact it’s really a step up from the GH2. Knowing this keeps my money in my pocket.
The G3 is a phenomenal deal as a second body for $249. I always liked it’s simplicity of design yet full features (including an articulated LCD which can be turned to protect the screen, a feature even my E-M5 doesn’t have), 16MP sensor and quality build (yes, plastic done right can be good).
Tempting, but I’m saving my pennies towards the 75-300mm MkII which I need this spring as the birds and wildlife return.
I just purchased a G3 for $220. Super happy! It’s my second camera purchase after starting photography (first was a compact camera). Looks like the promo code cannot be done online; instead, you must order by phone and tell them the code yourself. Either way, happy day for this guy!
Picked up a GX1 to have as a backup to my K5IIs (Pentax). I’ll slap a nice prime on it, maybe a Leica and harken back to my LX3 days.
