[UPDATE] X-T10 EU Price Correction: It’s CHF (and not €) 849 for the kit. EU-countries (not all) will sell body for €699 and kit for €799!

UPDATE
The rumored UK price seems to be correct. It’s listed for £at Jessops (see google)… and also WexUK

From the description: “Extremely lightweight and compact camera body Large APS 16M X-Trans CMOS II Sensor Fast EXR Processor II New AutoFocus System with 3D Tracking Stylish X-T Design with Compact … “

_ _ _

I had again a talk with the new source, who told me about the EU X-T10 Kit Price of 849… and now I have an update for you… or better, a correction to make: the price for the kit is of 849 in Switzerland (so CHF 849 and not €). The same source said that the price in some other EU countries is actually of €699 for the X-T10 body and €799 for the X-T10 kit.

However, this does not mean that the X-T10 will cost €699 in all EU countries with € currency. There will be changes. For example, the XF 16mmF1.4 costs 999 at AmazonDE. That’s €50 cheaper than the same lens at AmazonITA, where it is sold for €1,049.

I’m sorry… you might remember that when the X-T10 EU price post went online, it had some errors in it. I wrote the price for the body, but the new source actually said it was for the kit, I made the wrong dollar/euro conversion and had to correct everything later on. This can happen when you are under stress and have just 3 minutes time to write a post.

To make it now unequivocably clear, here is the rumored price list so far:

EUROPEAN PRICES

Price in some EU-countires: X-T10 body €699 / X-T10 kit €799
Probable different Price Tag some other EU-countries
Swiss Price: X-T10 Body 748 CHF (€713) – X-T10 kit 849 CHF (€810)

Coming instead from an anonymous source: UK Price: X-T10 body £499 / 16-50 kit £599 / 18-55 kit £799 / XF 90mm £699

US / Canada PRICE

The X-T10 will cost $799 in USA ($899 in Canada).
The kit with XC 16-50 lens will come for $899 (in Canada $999)
The kit with XF 18-55 it will cost $1099 in USA ($ 1,249 in Canada)
The XF90mm lens instead will cost $949 (in Canada $1099)

  1. sound good,price reasonable.
tomorrow ,fuji & panasonic will release new mid-range mirrorless camera
will be first competitor and may new a6100 release end of May.

  2. £500 body only street price confirmed? Ouch. Yup, that’s right in awkward that mid-point; the X-E2 with the 18-55 lens can be had for just £50 than this body alone and a used X-T1 body is only about £150-£200 more. An X-E2 body by itself is almost £100 cheaper. A £100 premium for a tilt screen and possibly better AF is a tall order for a body that is never going to be a long-distance action camera anyway. There’s no increase in image quality or battery life, and you’re not getting the expanded control or more durable body of the X-T1, either, so why bother with an X-T10?
Considering the astronomical prices of the XF lenses, and the fact the 18-55 can be resold for about £200-£250, it makes by far the most sense to pay £50 more to get a new X-E2 and 18-55 kit, sell the lens so you now have a new X-E2 body for the price of a used one, and now you’ve got more money to spend on one of the nice 1.4 or 1.2 primes, or one of those constant-2.8 zooms. If you really think you are going to use the camera for distant sports or wildlife where the AF is going to make an appreciable difference, you probably also want the more durable and weather-sealed X-T1 body, so for just £150 more you can pick one of those up.
As it is, £500 for the T10 body is bizarre. The X-E2 is cheaper and 99% the same and the X-T1 can be had for a low enough price that the professionals who really will appreciate the AF and weather sealing won’t think twice about it. I suppsoe the X-T10 still makes sense as a way for Fuji to use up their leftover parts, but from the consumer side it’s a noticable jump in price for a barely-noticable jump in features.

I said it before and I’ll say it again, get the street price down to £400, maybe a tiny fraction more, and the X-T10 will make sense for consumers. Right now, this is a clear £100 more than is reasonable for what it offers vs what is already out there.

    1. Second hand X-T1 are few and far between where I live, so that’s not a credible alternative (for me). And second hand bodies are not everyone’s taste (not me, I have no qualms buying second hand camera & lens).

I don’t find the price to be unreasonnable: tilting screen; revised (faster) AF compared to the X-E2, including eye recognition; and you are comparing today’s x-e2 price not the launch price which was £800 – so that’s not a fair comparison. In the consumer mind the X-T10 is at least 18 months fresher than the X-E2.

      1. Everyone can/should make their own assessment of the value of these offerings. But I’d like to point out that except a tiltable screen you also get an extra left hand dial on the T10.
The AF related features could most likely be added to the E2 in a firmware update. That is if they don’t want to use this feature set to “add value” to the T-series.

    2. 100£ for a Tilt Screen, better AF (speed and accuracy) and new AF functions?!
I’d go for that in a second!

How much more expansive is the Nikon D7200 (better AF) than the D7100?
      EM5ii vs EM1, 70D vs 7D
yeah, there are other differences too, but if everyone was only looking for image quality only D3300, 750D, and Oly Pens would be the only cameras sold by those manufacturers

    3. this is a dumb comment… Not only are you getting a newer, smaller more compact body, you’re also getting improvements over the t1. A built in flash, better dials and for the design of the dials/switches, it looks like you’ll have less accidental switch movements. Plus the price point… I had an Xt1 and didn’t like it very much. This looks like a vast improvement of layout and design.

Also, if you think the lenses are so expensive, move onto a cheaper system with shittier glass. Fuji’s lenses are Zeiss sharp and they’re cheaper.

Also, this might have components of an Xe2, but what Fuji camera isn’t?

      1. More compact is not necessarily better (as you can see every time someone suggests the Pro2 should be smaller than the Pro1). A pop-up flash is a structural weakness which I, personally, would never have any use for. Similarly, the dial layout is significantly worse, in my view, than the X-T1’s; whoever thought removing the ISO dial but keeping the drive dial was a good idea should be shot.
As for the lens price, you’re missing the point entirely. £750 (56mm f/1.2) for what is essentially the 85 1.8 that every other company puts out for <£300 is ridiculous by any standards. Expensive? In the grand scheme of camera lenses, no. Overpriced for what they are? Undeniable.
There is a difference between liking something and being a blind sycophant. This may come as a shock to you, but it is entirely possible to like Fuji's products and yet find fault with some or all of them.

        1. to each their own, but to call a built in flash a structural weakness is hilarious at best.

Psychophant? Get a clue you hater. You’re on a Fuji board bitching. And overpriced for the 56? You’re crazy. You’re the only one complaining about the price. Stop bitching and move onto Nikon or something. 1k for that lens (what I paid for it) was one of the best decisions for my photography biz and needs.

          1. You only have to look through every other post to see many others complaining about the lens price.

And you’re an absolute fucking moron if you think “hur dur move to Nikon” is any kind of argument against the slightest criticism of Fuji’s products. As is writing off any criticism as “a hater”. Between my Fuji gear, Canon gear, medium and large format gear, I’m willing to bet I’ve spent far more on this stuff than you will have done in your life. That doesn’t mean it’s wrong to be annoyed by inflated prices at any level. Just because some people buy a new BMW every month doesn’t mean it’s not an expensive car with a price inflated by the badge. Additionally, somebody else not seeing the full value in a piece of equipment does not devalue your purchase and it is not an insult against yourself, so you don’t need to take it so personally. You are not the corporation you buy products from.

        2. 56f1.2 in aps-c-> 85f1.8 in FF. WRONG
About DOF, it’s more and less equivalent.
But about Light Transmission, it’s f1.2.

          1. Not quite. Because the surface area of the APS-C sensor is smaller, you sitll end up with less light actually reaching the sensor. Between that and the tighter pixel pitch, you end up with more noise relative to the sensor size, even at low ISO settings. So you get the same exposure with more noise, just like if, on a 35mm sensor, you had less light but upped the ISO. You are, for all practical intents and purposes, getting less light transmission than a 1.8 lens on a 35mm sensor.

  3. The starting price of the Sony A6000 was 799€, too. Of course, the A6000 cost significantly less now, but the X-T10 is the better camera in a lot of aspects – better EVF, better build quality (I hope..), more dials and controls, better kit lens. So its a very fair price. I will buy it if the AF is better than the X-E1 and X-E2.

  4. Good price. Fujifilm is the only manufacturer who doesn’t convert the dollar prices 1:1 in euro prices. So the price looks even fairer in europe, because its the same price like the starting price of A6000.

  5. suggest to buy X-T1
I think fuji have changed the policy, most new af system, new feature, firmware will only update for XT1 (flagship), that mean xt10 will be same as xe2, no new feature / fast af system will be updated by firmware

    1. I was planning on upgrading from a XE2 to the XT1, but if this has the same build quality as my XE2, then I’ll get this instead.

And if it does have the same quality as the XE2, I don’t think there will be a XE3. Fujifilm will stick with the X-Pro series for rangefinder looks.

  6. I am waiting for a new sensor (X-Pro 2 or X-T2), as I already have the X-PRO 1 and DP Merrills (a great combination). However, the X-T10 is a nice option for those considering getting a Fuji.

  7. I like it and I want it!!!!! plus I don’t give a f*#*@ about what other people are saying about this camera 🙂 😉

  8. This is a nice item. But I think many people are waiting for the next model that offers a visible optical improvement. That would mean more pixels and/or greater dynamic range. I hope this comes in a year or so.

  9. Sorry, but $900 for XC kit is not going to fly in competition with $700 a6000 kit (and E-M10 and E-M5 kits for $499), and a6100 is coming any day now. Dead meat. Fail.

  10. This camera is meant to be Fuji’s fastest camera yet. I know a guy that has used it and said it’s very fast yet. I shouldn’t be teling you this but what ever. It get released tomorrow…. Not long now..

  11. Euro/USD rate is like 1.07 now, and given that EU prices include 20% VAT, it seems that Fuji is simply hopelessly overpriced in the US, with no chance selling against competition.
