[UPDATE: You might remember, that Fuji took the tethereing plug-in off one month ago, becuase it was faulty. Now they have made it available again (ergo: fixed the bug). But it’s nothing for Mac users for now. Just for Windows users with HS-V5 (which is available in Japan, but not here). So this is relevant information for Japanese FR-readers… all the others, well, we now have to manage our frustration… again]
Fujifilm released firmware 3.11. It adds compatibility with the Tethered Capture Plug-in for Lightroom/Photoshop. Download it here.
To everyone waiting for the big ver. 4.0 update: dont’ worry, it will come, but I’m working to find out the exact date. A new source said it will come on the 11th of May, but there can be delays. In any case, it should happen in the next weeks. Follow FujiRumors on facebook, google+, RSS-feed and twitter
The Tethered Capture Plug-in for Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom is available here!

For Mac users, the plugin itself still isn’t available on the Adobe Exchange. Any idea on when it might be?
We have to wait. Again. This is very frustrating. I sent a tweet to the Fujiguys but my last one some weeks back was ignored. 🙁
Can someone also extract the mac .pkg for us Mac users? Since you need Windows to extract it. Much obliged
I have both. The exe doesn’t extract anything. It asks for the HS-V5 program and then it stops. This ain’t it.
Thanks for checking it out!
If Fuji have just released this firmware and no official word on a 4.0 Firmware, I’m starting to have reservations that we’ll see this new v4.0 firmware any time soon. Doesn’t make sense to release new firmware now when there’s a major one due in just a few days.
According to user flysurfer (= Rico) Posting on a German X Forum V 4.0 will not be released in May.
I’ll pass for a few weeks as I have read reports on FB that some have problems with AF after installing this new Firmware.

Be aware that there are problems reported on FB with the AF after installing this update.

If the 3.11 update is causing AF problems and whatever is in 3.11 that is causing the problems will also be in the 4.0 update it would create a real mess
That post is 2 weeks old. No further updates since then.
Silly questions: so I need to have Tethered Shooting Software HS-V5 first right? But I have a Mac and HS-V5 is only for Windows. So does it mean with FUJI_PLUGIN.pkg I can do tethered shooting on a Mac with LR without HS-V5?
Except you need windows to get the .pkg file because it’s archived in a .exe file. *sighs*
I guess I’ll wait for the 4.0. I hope it’s true. It would be a really nice update if it comes as described. I think it makes sense and the rumor seems fairly credible given that the X-T10 is coming soon. If they’ve already added the new functionality to the X-T10, it seems natural that they’d offer any improvements to the X-T1. Crossing my fingers.
Where do you get a .pkg file? All I see is .exe. And it doesn’t open up on my (Windows) computer because it asks for the HS-V5 plugin. I want to rip my hair out!!
Fuji and software. They are not fully compatible with each other. The more I like Fuji for quite a few other competences – the more I start hating this never ending firmware hassle. What about Windows support only for this tethering, in a world were a large % of the photo / graphical oriented crowd is using MacBooks. I’m also still hoping and praying someone in the Fuji R&D team takes a better ownership of the most cripple WiFi support I’ve ever seen on any device. It’s a complete cramp to get it configured, the transfer gets locked all the time (at least on my Macs & airports (i’ve never been able to do more than 50 RAF’s at once), doesn’t take in account most people are working multi-router or multi-platform in 2015 and is slower than copying files over an old 56K modem.
