  1. Good price. But I still prefer a new one since there are many people complaining about this lens has centering issue.

      1. Then you should ask Google before clicking “buy it now”. I am planning to buy this lens, I have to figure what I am paying for.

    1. Haven’t heard anything about. Never read about it here in the comments and I never received a complaint about that via email. So this comes absolutely new for me

        1. Actually I read the feedback about 16-55 on B&H. I came across complains about centering issue on 16-55, 18-55, 10-24. Some are from reviewers, some are from customers. It seems to me every newly released lens suffers from it for at least a period of time. I personally received one new XF 56 with metal flakes inside. I am not into the story that Fuji’s QC is as premium as their price tags.

        1. Go check out the 2 (out of 8) 1-star review on B&H. if you google around there could be more.I don’t understand why competitors would want to suppress Fuji for its little market share. Error bars in the market share survey could surpass its value.

  2. Still waiting for cash back promotions on lenses here in the UK/Europe. Come on Fujifilm, I’m willing to buy the XF 56mm F/1.2 and the XF 16mm F/1.4. But till then, my money will stay in the bank!

  3. I think if everyone who bought a lens (any lens) tested it rigorously, they would find a lot of centering errors. As super-complicated zooms and OIS have become the norm this is pretty common issue. Lens Tip, and photozone.de sometimes report a level of mis-centering, sometimes they just get another sample. Here’s a quote from the photozone review of the 10-24 “It is worth to note that we have seen several Fujinon lenses that had problems in the past here so hopefully this positive finding applies to all production batches.” The 10-24 was good, but the reviewer felt it necessary to mention the overall situation. From the review of the 55-200 “As far as the centering quality is concerned, it was as bad as it gets with the first sample that we purchased. The lens also suffered from a mechanical breakdown. Fortunately Fujifilm replaced it and this 2nd sample had a far better centering than average for a image stabilized lens.”

  4. Can anyone please tell me if the 18mm is at a good price right now with this promotion? It’s priced at US$ 499 at amazon, but I don’t know if in past promotions it was cheaper than this.
