I thought it would be released on June 19th and with the new XT1b or s without any deficiencies .(hopefully then!) in France at first…
no, Fujifilm France announced an “operation never heard-of in photography world” on June 19th. Don’t think they mean a lens with it. Must be somthing different.
The X-T1 upgrades release date is pretty unsure at the moment. Could be this month, or next month. I even heard “September”, but this was from an anomyous source.
This lens was pushed back from April to now, and let’s hope the 16th is the final date. Another sleepless night for nothing is not really what I need at the moment.
Fuji Marketing could be playing with you, too. By changing it often they are keeping you posting about it which keeps the lens in the spotlight as it were. At least a cynical person might think it.
I don’t really understand why they postpone the release wekk after week. But from what has been told to me, this should be the final day!

yeah your last sentence is absolutely valid, me too….
Earilier on, fujifilm surprised us positvely….but nowadays its more negatively Xt1 prototypes with lots of problems and lack of qualtiy control assessment –> now upcoming xt1b and don’t let us talk about the iso cheating as well….
I dont trust fujifilm anymore…..they destroyed a lot of their long trustworthy road/building which they established very hard over the last two years…..just with one or two unreasonable, not understandable moves….

For comfort it needs a X-PRO2. Maybe with the Big add-on grip on X-T1 it’s comfortable too ?.
And… The price? How much is it?
Please, Fuji, keep this at the more reasonable price of $799 to $999. Not the rumored ridiculous price of $1600. If it’s over $1000 I’m not buying it, nor are many other photographers.
