Damn! That’s a sweet deal! Right now I’m drooling over the current Adorama deal for the XPro1 where it’s the camera body, the 35mm lens, extra card and battery all for $1500. And now THIS comes along…
Here’s my dilemma. I’m not sure what to buy. I’m LOVING the X100. I’ve rented the X-E1 with the 18-55 zoom. I was a bit underwhelmed but I don’t know if that’s because of the lens or the camera.
So this weekend I’m renting the XPro1 and 35mm lens. If I love that combo, I’ll definitely jump at one of these offers. If not, then I’m going all in with the X100s.
Actually these deals are really starting to annoy me. I dont begrudge deals for those yet to get on board, but what about those of us who have been riding this train for the past year. I would like to buy several Fuji lenses and they are doing absolutely nothing for those of us that have already bought in to the system. I dont need a second body. I do want the 14, the 32 and the 55-200. How about a little love for those who have helped make this camera’s reputation in the first place and put together some lens deals for us!
Welcome to the market economy! It looks like retailers trying to sell as many camera bodies as possible, and they are not very interested in selling lens bundles. It might mean that both XPro1 and XE1 are due for replacement soon, or maybe retailers are just overstocked. Either way… no lens bundles for the rest of us.
Or maybe some smaller retailer will eventually discover our need and design such a package?…
Hope this means the new body(s) will be revealed soon!

True, but you’re not really hooked until your heavily invested in the glass!
I want a all metal diecase body, smaller(Leica CL sized) Fuji, preferred with in body VR. Please do not make a budget Fuji, the XE1 will be cheap when newer models coming out.
I have seen those XE1 selling for under $680 with shipping included from Hong kong and Japan since early this year. So these “good deals” would not be as good as we all have expected.
The Zeiss lens will be a real treat, but at higher price point
