To bad, the E-M1’s are sold out of the outlet store, but there are a few body only E-M5’s, plus some Pens of varying vintage. Over at dpreview, there were complaints that the E-M10’s in the outlet store seemed to be gone before the sale took place. In terms of micro 4/3rds lenses, only the 17mm f/2.8 is in the store.
And note, this is the Olympus America outlet store, so presumably it is for USA/Canada shipments only.
We’ve had 20% sales at the outlet store on US Presidents day, US Memorial day, so I imagine if you check back around July 4th (US independence day) and August 30 – September 1 (US labor day) you may see similar sales. Dunno, if they are going to do it for more minor holidays like flag day (June 14th if memory serves).
On the Presidents day sale, I took the opportunity to pick up an E-M5/12-50mm kit. Fortunately, I picked up the extended warranty shortly afterwards (on a 30% off sale), as the camera’s EVF failed during a trip to Disney World (and by the time I got back, the 90 day warranty would have expired). I am waiting for the camera now, which started the warranty repair on Friday (and Monday was a holiday).
Still waiting on that 75mm 1.8 to hit the refurb’s. To bad, I missed my opportunity back in February. I don’t want to spend more than 600 all together either.
Just to piggy back on the deals here: Henry’s (Canada, will ship to the US) is having a sweet deal on the Oly 25mm 1.8 for $299! Currently out of stock but it says it should be back in the next few weeks. I ordered and got confirmation. YMMV.
Cheers.
