“mysterious” Panasonic camera should be the LX7K.
Wow gh3 for 698 dollars is a great deal.
If history is any indication, Samy’s will likely continue at/after Xmas to have pricing like this (I hope).
I got my GH2 from them at a ridiculous price from them 2 years ago under similar circumstances and they paid the sales tax.
Fingers crossed.
Same here. I think they were going for $500 with the 14-42 kit lens. I got two (limited by Amazon) sold one on eBay for $200 profit and then sold the lens on the other for another $100. So I walked away with a GH2 for $200 bucks.
It’s just painful now, to check the prices here in Eastern Europe:
G6 (+kit) – 1520$ !!!
GX7 (+kit) – 1662$
GH3 – 1580$
…
yes for those price difr. eur-usd …in case of biger purchase its worth to go for short trip to NY , buy a stuff , make many pics and get back and you have trip free paied by the price difr.
GH3 is $808 at Amazon and $898 at Samy’s now. Where is this magical 698 you speak of?
they changed it now!
Checked just now, see $698 on the link provided in the article above:

It’s sold by Sammys, as Amazon itself has the price adjusted to $948.
Screenshot here. In case it gets sold out you know for sure that I was telling the truth 🙂

$679 for OMD body only at Henry’s http://www.henrys.com/68948-OLYMPUS-OM-D-E-M5-BODY-SILVER.aspx
I bought the GH3 from Sammy (through Amazon) about 2 hours ago. Thank you admin for letting us know.
G6 is for $498 with free 32Gb SD card. You have to put it in cart to see the price, otherwise showing $548. Just bought one myself.

The misterious Panasonic kit should be this one:

oh thats cool boxing and nice stuff
Why are they all ‘dumping’ the gh3?? In Europe the price is stuck here at €950,- for a body only gh3. (Thats about $1280,-!!! body only) You guys in the US are very lucky!
Great deal. I bought a GH3 from Samy’s a couple weeks ago at their Hollywood store. They returned it and resold it with the $300 rebate and paid the sales tax as part of a holiday special. Saved $400 total.
