  1. It’s even cheaper than the Oly equivalent in the UK. But I’d still go for Oly for better performance, wide and open…

  2. Fuck Panasonic! I have not had a chance to sell my 12-35mm, and now how am I supposed to get the $1k out of it I hoped to?!?!!

    1. So right from the start you bought the lens just as an investment ? Dude, you’re in the wrong market, either get gold or a Leica. I would go with gold since you clearly don’t have an interest in photography anyway.

  3. For those who don’t know, Pany 12-35 has been always selling on ebay for $945 or so. You just have to order it from Korea or Japan, and wait for a week for shipping. Yes, you can always order it even from US.

    1. I bought mine from t-dimension.com (a Hong Kong based etailer) for $860, and I recently ordered the 35-100 (via eBay) for $1038 with free Fedex shipping.
      Both items are brand new.
I guess you lose the comfort of warranty, but when you are saving nearly $300, I’ll take my chances.

Also: The 45mm f1.8 was $308 with free Fedex shipping when Amazon was selling it for $399.

    1. I would assume you mean the Sigma 18-35mm F/1.8

I would say the Panasonic 12-35mm is a very different lens and overall it is better than the Sigma. The main advantage of the Sigma is Speed, after that you need to understand what the Panasonic 12-35mm does on a MFT Camera.

First and most important it’s Native lens to the system which has Auto Focus, Software Correction and Image Stabilization. Then factor in that it’s small, light weight and weather sealed. Has excellent contrast and sharpness and honestly one of the best lenses for the system. 12-35mm is worth it’s weight in Gold and while it may not be your only lens as you need a real fast lens for those low light situations I would say it’s definitely one of the best lenses for the system.

A 12-35mm combined with a 35-100mm and a Fast lens like a 25mm Leica or Nokton and your A+ ready to handle anything thrown at you.

  4. Stay away from Panasonic phone systems. Nowhere in the operating manual will it tell you how to change an outgoing message. When I call customer service, they tell me to call the guy that sold me the system. I guess they don’t consider themselves responsible for their product after the sale. POS Panasonic. If you are considering ANY Panasonic product, have someone slap you and wake up!
