AmazonUS is the next store that finally has the XF18-135 available for pre-order here. At the time of writing the lens is listed 12th in the overall camera lens ranking.
AmazonUS has set the release to July 30. BHphoto expects to have them in stock on the 15th of July, while Adorama says “mid July”.

I know this lens and all the X-stuff is great, but is everybody rich? I mean, WTF, eh?? Am I supposed to run over to Amazon and buy every piece of new gear released? Am I a bad person for not buying the 18-135, even tho I just spent a load on an X-T1 and 4 lenses, batteries, etc? Where does this end?? O M F G.
For those looking for a weather sealed combo this lens is a must buy, as it is the only option for now.
Personally I do not care much about WS. so i’ll keep the 18-55 and 55-200 for myX-T1
Federal Fuji law requires you to buy every single lens. Better be glad they don’t make you buy them twice.
Its an option man. Its a great travel lens, or to go light with only one. Nobody forces you to buy anything. FR blows this up because he’s lookin for some doh to run this site. Can’t complain about that.. I haven’t bought the xt1. I got an X M, but i got some glass for it. When I get a better job, and hopefully the new lens will be in a kit with the X t1, i will go for it.
you know you arent mean to buy every single lens a manufacturer makes. You wouldnt do that with canon or nikon so whats different?
If you’re the kind of person who thinks they need every lens a manufacturer puts out , then you should be happy fuji only has 13 of them. And be even happier you don’t own a canon, nikon, pentax …. ect. BTW …… it doesn’t end.
Sony a7 would be good though. Or, much better: Canon M. 😉

I know it’s so crazy right. But yeah you better buy this lens from this link. Otherwise who knows what will happen to your current Fuji gear if you don’t buy this lens. Better to be safe than sorry.

Availability on July 5th in Japan, at JPY 107,460 (+10% equivalent in points), for tourists coming here.
No photo trip in the next 4-5 months, so I’ll wait anyway…
