Is this the new entry level X system camera body?

 photo fujilow_zps65cfa4d3.jpg

The Swedish website Cyberphoto (google translation here) claims that the cameras hold by that smiling Fuji rep is a new model that Fuji will announce this summer: “unfortunately, we can not say whether it is compact or SLR. What we can say is that no current model is changed without Fujifilm expands its range. More information will come.”

The camera has been smeared out and you can’t see anything else than the size…I would say X20 alike size. This camera smells a lot like the rumored Fuji X entry level system body 🙂

bye

  1. I am personally praying for this to be true as I would love a more compact X cam to compliment my X-Pro. Having that IQ in package (with new 27mm pancake) that I can carry with me everyday would be a dream. I just hope they increase the LCD resolution to compensate for lack of VF and keep the exposure comp dial. I am excited!

    1. I am praying that they keep the direct shutter/aperture controls !
Eliminating the annoyingly redundant PASM is what Fuji X is all about imho.

  2. I really hope this is not the entry level X camera, because it looks rather big. It ought to be about the size of an olympus E-PM2.

  3. So I bought your x100s, xe-1 35mm, 14mm, x10…STOP IT FUJI JUST STOP IT! I don’t even have a job right now! Give me SOME TIME plzzz. Release it next YEAR!! but the 56mm 1.2, yeah lets have it.

  4. FF compact, 35 eq. manual aperture and time. Think Contax T3, but improved. Fuji got an open goal to make this happen. Fuji x Pro 1/Xe 1 is the closest to Contax G2 in the digital world. It´s not rocket science Fuji. Just do it please.

  5. I hope it comes with a viewfinder! Just imagine fitting an M lens adapter and attaching it to a 50mm Summicron! Beautiful!

    1. The X-Pro1 and the X-E1 have a viewfinder. You can use your Summicron with those. Fuji would be wise to bring out an entry level camera with the same image quality, as small and cheap as possible.
